The Little Giants from the coach’s POV – 3

Last saturday we fought in the 7th episode. We’re in the semifinals of Poland’s first edition of „The Little Giants” show! Big emotions and big success. There are no weak teams in this show.
Our performance was started by Kinga and Stas.

They got a very beautiful song by Marek Grehuta (famous Polish singer) „You’ll be my lady” so it was a very good song for this little pair in love;). We were really afraid during their performance because on the recording day the situation wasn’t good. There were some misunderstandings between our little ones and eventually there was a big quarrel. So big that it didn’t let us make a good rehearsal. Fortunately when the show started we were able to talk them out of it and explain everything. In the last moments before going on stage we did a short rehearsal with the pianist. Kinga nad Stas have a natural talent for mobilization. When they went on stage they did everything what was supposed to be done, there were no mistakes and they did very well! Stas sang really good, I was impressed because it’s not an easy song for a 5 years old, played violin part very good. Kinga, as usual, very sweet both dancing and singing. We were relieved and our kids got all 10’s. One could see on Kinga’s face that she smiled after they realized that they got good points. And the stress was gone… Average – 10 points! Very good start!
For the „second course” was Nina and Adam’s dance. They danced „locking”. I trust there is such thing but I don’t know all those professional dance terms. Nevertheless everything what’s important was there – energy, joy, smile (after the jury’s comments in the last episode that was very important thing to bear in mind). It was in line and despite dynamics with a lot of grace. The jury wasn’t so kind compared to our little ones and rated them slightly worse. But 9,5 is a very good result and Nina and Adam went off stage satisfied. And backstage they were greeted by equally satisfied rest of the team.
Olivia finally got a ballad! I was glad because I wanted it very much. Finally a lot of long notes where you can show a great voice, make the audience touched, show emotions. „Unconditionally” is one of those songs where you can show off yourself having a good vocal. And so it was, standing applause, beautiful! It gave everyone shivers. Already even at the rehearsals. Average 10! So altogether 29,5 points to add to our balance. At this moment we already knew that we’ll stay in the program so we waited easily for the end.
After performances of all the teams there was a „dancing battle”, common performance by all dancers from all the teams. I liked it a lot, unbelievable how so different people with different styles could perform together still being themselves. Beautiful show.
At the end there was really a surprise because „Titans” team had the least points and had to go out… And it was very sad for members of my team because they became best friends. Kasia Bujakiewicz (juror) surprised everyone and gave one point to each of the teams for the dance show. We thought that the situation will resolve between Titans nad Olaf’s Gang, that one of these teams will get this very important point but all the teams got 1 point and therefore Titans had to say goodbye. It’s always sad but as I said there are no weak teams in this show. For us the most important thing is that we’re still in the game, we still can sing and dance for you! See you in the semifinals on Saturday!
